Professor Sir Richard Sorabji wrote this biography of Allan Monkhouse’s life using the memoirs drafted by his late uncle in his older years along with family letters and the treasure trove of Allan’s photographic collection going back to the 1880s. Richard felt compelled to piece together Allan’s memoirs to create a biography that gives us a window on history.
